Journalist Mohamed Tamalt was sentenced on Monday by a court in Sidi M’Hamed, sentenced to two years in prison.
We learned from one of his lawyers,. Amine Sidhoum. he was also fined of 200,000 dinars ($1,800, 1,630 euros).
Tamalt Mohamed, an Algerian living in London, runs a Facebook page in which he published content involving Algerian officials and their families.
He was arrested on June 27 outside his home in Algiers, before being detained.
