BREAKING : Messi makes return to International Football

Argentina Captain Lionel Messi has made a u-turn about quitting international football as he returns to the national team.

Coach Bauza Edgardo was the architect of Messi’s reversed decision as the 59-year-old traveled to Spain to convince the Barcelona star man.

Bauza was confident the 28-year-old would rescind his decision and said his captain will be available for selection in next month World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.

The five-time Ballon d’ Or winner stated that he did not want to cause any more problems for his country; announcing his return were decisions only reached after much consideration.

“I love my country and the Albiceleste too much.

“There are too many existing problems in Argentine football right now and it wasn’t my intention to create one more.”

“A lot of things went through my mind on that day and I seriously considered leaving for good, but I want to bring joy to Argentina and fight to fix things from the inside,” Messi said.

The number 10 announced his retirement in June after  Argentina lost the Copa America final to Chile on penalties for the straight year.
