Obi Ajuonuma also known as DJ Obi as
broken the Guinness World record for the Longest
Marathon DJ-ing Set ever!
Obi has been on the turntables for 8-days and a few
hours totalling 240 HOURS straight with NO SLEEP.
The celebrated DJ attained the feat at exactly 7:30am this morning 1st July 2016 at Sao Café, in Lekki Phase 1.
He as not only broken the current record, he is also
about to set a new record with his target being 10-days of deejaying with no sleep.
DJ Obi took to his Instagram after breaking the record this morning saying;
" The moment we surpassed the current world record of 200 hours; its been an amazing journey - 9 days in; Thank you everyone! You all have been so supportive!
WE DID IT TOGETHER!! .
" Nigeria Stand Up!! Its a wonderful feeling - We are
the greatest people on earth! We did this together.
once again; Big shoutout to everyone, The party
continues till Saturday, World Record done but 240
hours is the new record we wanna set ."
The previous record holder is Norbert Selmaj aka DJ
Norberto Loco from Poland - who played a total of 200 hours (8 days) in The Underground temple bar in Dublin, Ireland from 19th to 27th of November
